A week of continuous prayer for the World and for Bromsgrove
A week of continuous prayer...
for the World and for Bromsgrove
Christians from across the churches in Bromsgrove are planning to get together for a week of continuous prayer from Sunday 1st to Sunday 8th June 2025, culminating in a joint celebration service in Sanders' Park on the final day. Prayer is a central part of the Christian faith that allows Christians to experience the personal relationship that they can have with God and prayer rooms teach and inspire people to pray by providing an interactive space that structures their prayer. for the World and for Bromsgrove
The last week of continuous prayer was in 2013 where over 70 people formed a chain of prayer at the Methodist Centre from 6am until after midnight every day for seven days, sometimes going through the night. Twelve years have passed but people still remember their time in the prayer room powerfully and we felt God was asking us to do it again. This time we are inspired by a verse written in 700BC, "My house will be called a house of prayer for all the nations." Christianity isn't a religion that is limited to one culture or location - there are hundreds of millions of Christians in every continent of the world and Christians can be found in every community in the UK. During the week of prayer, we will be praying for the world and celebrating the Christians from other cultures that have made Bromsgrove home. We will also be praying for Bromsgrove. For its businesses, its public services, its politicians and the people that make this town such an amazing place to live.
