2. NewSong Community Church

The building was built for the Ebenezer Methodist Chapel in 1933 but for the past 25 years, it has served as the home of NewSong Community Church. We give thanks for the people that serve Bromsgrove in the name of Christ and that have taught of the love and forgiveness that comes from following Jesus.

We give thanks for the people leading and serving in the churches today. We know that true leadership comes from pointing people to Jesus and true service is an outpouring of God’s love.

The 24-7 Prayer representative at NewSong has asked us to pray the following:

1) Please pray with us for more opportunities and new ways for NewSong to be able to use our building / space to be a hub for support within our community e.g. a warm space in winter and a cool space in summer.

2) Please pray for our future building  development plans and for NewSong to have new opportunities to provide more community facilities within Sidemoor.

3) Please pray for our young people within the local community of Sidemoor and also within our church family. We pray for the spiritual growth of young people. For their wellbeing and mental health. For positive experiences at school and for future opportunities for employment.

4) Please pray for us to be able to grow in faith by increasing our small group networks; in order  for more people to know Jesus and to know Jesus more.

We pray for the prayer events being held here on Thursday as part of the global week of prayer.

We meditate on your word from Colossians 2: 6-7 (NLT):

And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. Amen
