26. Bromsgrove School

Bromsgrove School is an independent school for 2000 children aged 2-18.  The children are drawn from over 70 different countries and around 600 board.

Pray for those children, particularly the youngest at 7, who are away from home for the first time. That the warmth, love and skill of the staff are able to help them get over home sickness and get used to the new routines.

Pray for the many cultural and language differences, that the staff can use their skill so it isn’t a barrier to integration and that fellow pupils will make each other feel welcome.

Pray for the families that are struggling to pay the fees. Particularly those who receive some level of discount but still need to find money for uniform, trips and the many other costs of attending a school such as this.

Pray for Reverend Paul Hedworth, the school chaplain and a teacher of religious studies, that he can enthuse others with his Christian faith.

Pray for the huge numbers of non-teaching staff such as drivers, laundry staff, ground keepers, maintenance, carers, house parents and cleaners that work here. By collecting rubbish, sweeping leaves, clearing gutters, and removing graffiti, they keep the school safe and looking spick and span. Grant them energy and resilience as they do their work day in, day out. And encourage them as they perform tasks that are often thankless and repetitive.

Pray for the Christian staff and students, that they can share their faith with others.
