31. Bromsgrove District Local Plan - A38
Between now and 2043, the council need to allocate enough land for 12,155 homes to meet our town’s Local Housing Need (LHN). We already have land for around more 3,000 homes identified through planning applications and large site allocations, which means the council needs to find additional land for just over 9,000 homes.
The council is currently consulting on it’s draft development strategy which will see the housing and other infrastructure, such as schools and health centres, built on land around the town.
The area alongside the A38 between here and Lickey where the golf club and farmland are is earmarked for 1850 homes, new schools, healthcare and community facilities, as well as parks.
Pray for the councillors as they grapple with the competing demands of protecting the green belt and natural areas such as Flora’s Wood with providing affordable homes for local people.
Pray that the council is able to deliver the infrastructure improvements needed.
We need intertainment not more houses on people well being ie golf courses should be ashamed they even think about golf courses
