36. New Starts
NewStarts is a Christian community re-use social enterprise, whose passion is to help people overcome the challenges and disadvantages that shape their lives and in doing so show them the love of God. Their core activity is providing free furniture, emergency food and household supplies to families and individuals who are in greatest need - either on low incomes or in financial crisis.
We give thanks for their work in serving those in need.
Marion, the chief executive, has asked us to pray for the following:
- those who we support and walk alongside see the love of God in all that we do. That their hearts and minds would be stirred to learn more
- that we remember God in all we do, even those who don’t have faith
- that God guides us in next steps. We have done a great job in alleviating poverty but we are also called to prevent it. We need to work on that piece of work
Micah 6:8 -
No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good,
and this is what he requires of you:
to do what is right, to love mercy,
and to walk humbly with your God.
